{Outdoor (roving) Markets}

Every day, all around Paris street markets are set up in the morning to service the surrounding neighbouhood. Some are vast, with a lot of repitition and competition, while others house only a handful of stall, all very specialised and likely to have a loyal following.

I went to five street markets while in Paris, and have included four of them here, as they are the ones within reasonably close proximity to the Marais.

I loved the diversity of fruit, vegetables, deli goods and ready made food.

I LOVED the cocoa walnuts, and the truffle oil and the mystery green that I bought from Marche Maubert. I LOVED the basil olives I bought from Marche Raspail. And I LOVED the green tomatoes that I bought from Marche Monge.

Exploring a roving outdoor market is a must when you are in Paris, and if you don't stock up on supplies from them every couple of days, you are bonkers, cause they are jammed with delcious platter options.
